Rodney Tention resigns as LMU Men’s Basketball Coach
A search will begin immediately.

Los Angeles, CA (Mar. 12) -- Loyola Marymount University Director of Athletics William Husak announced today, Wednesday, March 12, that Rodney Tention has resigned as the LMU Head Men’s Basketball Coach. LMU finished eighth in the West Coast Conference with a 5-26 overall record and 2-12 in WCC play in the 2007-08 season.

“We would like to thank Rodney Tention and his staff for his commitment, outstanding efforts and we wish them the very best,” said Husak.

Tention coached three seasons at LMU, finishing with a record of 30-61 overall and 15-27 in West Coast Conference play. He finished 12-18 overall in his first season and 13-19 overall in 2006-07.

“We will begin the search process immediately,” said Husak.
