iMentor Program
iMentor Program is designed to create a mutual learning opportunity for LMU undergraduate students (both US and international) and the new incoming international students (both first year and transfer). An iMentor will be matched up with one or two new incoming international students depending on the availability of new international students and their preference (country, major/school, gender, etc.). The iMentors serve as an academic and social resource at LMU, as well as a general resource for Los Angeles and the US. In return, iMentees will share their unique and cultural experiences with the iMentors. The educational and cultural exchange will continue for the duration of one semester, at minimum.
Goals:
Assist the new international students with adjustment to college life at LMU and to Los Angeles/US
Expose LMU’s US students with an opportunity to experience other cultures first-hand
