Loyola Marymount University

Undergraduate Research Prize

The librarians of the Loyola Marymount University Charles Von der Ahe Library are pleased to announce the Undergraduate Research Award. The purpose is to recognize and reward LMU undergraduate students whose research makes expert and creative use of the services, resources, and collections of the Von der Ahe Library to produce a scholarly or creative work. A prize of $750 will be awarded to one undergraduate student, plus two honorable mentions of $250 each. A Faculty member must nominate each student and write a letter of support. Student nominees must write a brief essay describing their use of library resources in completing their project. Submissions will be evaluated by a panel of faculty and librarians. Any paper or project completed in 2007 will be eligible for the 2008 prizes, which will be awarded on April 8, 2008. For more information about the prizes, including eligibility, evaluation criteria, and procedures, please see the Research Prize website.
