Lectures and Orientations
LMU faculty are invited to bring their classes to the Department for an orientation. A staff member will provide general introductory information, such as an overview of the collections and basic researcher rules, as well as any other requested information about the Department.
The staff will be happy to provide exhibits of rare materials for class sessions. Recent class orientation sessions and exhibits have included:

Rare children's books (English 346, Children's Literature)

Rare Spanish-language books (Spanish 321, Stylistics & Composition)

First editions of English and American classics (English 110, College Writing)

Leaves from medieval manuscripts, facsimiles (The Medieval Bible, a Theological Studies seminar)
Advance arrangements and consultations are required for class visits and major classroom research assignments. The availability of the reading room may depend on time needed, class size and other factors. Community groups and organizations are also invited to visit. Please contact a member of the staff for appointments.
