FREE PERFORMANCE EVENT by a "BEST of LA!" ENTERTAINER

LIBRARY ROOM 204 on MONDAY NOVEMBER 5 at 7:00 p.m.

Nationally acclaimed pop culture entertainer and author Charles Phoenix presents one of his celebrated slideshow performances at LMU.

Phoenix's live comedic show centers around his passion for mid-20th century Americana and uses his huge collection of thrift store-found vintage Kodacolor slides. He was recently voted "Best of LA!" by Los Angeles Magazine and has been featured on The Martha Stewart Show and National Public Radio.

Phoenix has performed at venues including the New York Fringe Theatre Festival (where he received an award for “Most Unique Theatrical Performance”), the Redcat Theater, the Getty Museum, Skirball Center, and the Egyptian Theater. He is the author of numerous books including Southern Californialand: Mid-Century Culture in Kodachrome and Americana the Beautiful.
