Dear LMU Parents,

Your son or daughter is the reason all of us at the University are working to create a living and learning environment in the Jesuit and Marymount traditions.  Some of you are currently helping your son or daughter choose a college.  Others already know LMU will be the place where your child will spend his or her college years, developing intellectually and socially and growing in confidence and compassion.

In the years I have served as LMU’s president, I have watched young men and women mature through disciplined study and through engagement in extracurricular activities of all kinds.  The University’s diverse campus community and its location in the fascinating city of Los Angeles also help them learn about the world.  In short, LMU’s educational environment and our commitment to developing the whole person help make their personal growth possible.

I recognize the enormous role you have played in readying your son or daughter for college.  To those of you who have chosen LMU, I am deeply honored that you have entrusted your child to us.  To those of you still deciding, I encourage you to consider the many reasons why this University might well be the best choice for your child.
