Conference on LA people, Politics April 15th at LMU

A "People and Politics in Los Angeles" conference will be hosted Thursday, April 15th, by the Loyola Marymount University (LMU) Center for the Study of Los Angeles. Registration begins at 1 p.m. in St. Roberts Hall.

The free conference will feature dialogue on urban issues between government, community activist, academic and media leaders.
Conference planners hope that key issues raised in the discussion will change the future of Los Angeles electoral politics.
Featured speakers for the one-day conference include:

- Father Robert Lawton, LMU president;
- Karen Bass, state assembly nominee;
- Rosario Martin, former U.S. treasurer;
- Richard Alarcon, state senator;
