Please plan to join us and a host of alumni to pay tribute to Cheryl (Tawede) Grills, Ph.D., a mentor to many. Dr. Grills was recently named Chair of the Psychology Department in the Bellarmine College of Liberal Arts at Loyola Marymount University. This is a landmark appointment for Dr. Grills because she is the first African American woman to hold a chair position in the University’s history. Also, Dr, Grills is celebrating her 20
th anniversary as a professor at LMU. She began teaching at Loyola Marymount University in 1987. the Sankofa Celebration continues with a complimentary Dessert Reception and Tribute to Dr. Cheryl Grills following the Alumni BBQ from 5:00 – 7:00PM in the Living Room adjacent to the Lion’s Den Coffee Shop in Malone.
