Biography:
Dr. Treanor is an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Loyola Marymount University (2003-present). His areas of specialization include "green" living/environmental living/sustainable living, environmental ethics and environmental virtue. Treanor's areas of competence are history of philosophy, pragmatism and aesthetics. His book is "Aspects of Alterity: Levinas, Marcel and the Contemporary Debate" (New York: Fordham University Press, 2006). Languages: Latin (basic reading competence), French (basic reading competence), Spanish and Japanese (some basic speaking proficiency).
