In Summer 2009, LMU’s Blackboard learning management system will be upgraded from version
7 to 9, paving the way for multiple improvements and exciting new features. In fact, the new
system will be improved so much, that we felt obliged to give it a new name. In late June of
’09 Blackboard will become MYLMU Connect!
The new name signifies the beginning of a new era in learning management at LMU. Not only will faculty and students be connected, but staff, contractors, donors, alumni and others will be able to utilize this new system to connect and share information in new and exciting ways.

- Improved course management workflow
- Inline confirmations
- Completely redesigned grade book
- Significantly improved file collection and exchange
- New private blog and journal creation tools
