"I went to Melbourne, Australia for my study abroad in spring 2011. I can hands down say I had the best time of my life. I met some of the most amazing people and visited some beautiful parts of the world I never knew I would ever see. I met a group of internationals that I can easily consider my best friends, as well a group of crazy Aussies. To this day I talk to some of them almost everyday. When I travelled I visited Sydney and the Great Ocean Road and then spent my spring break in New Zealand, where I went cave dwelling and skydiving. I went to three music festivals as well, one on the day I landed which was amazing to see! Because Melbourne is such a big city, a lot of the times I would take the train and would just get off on a random stop to explore the city. Culturally, Australia was so different than I had ever imagined. Everything was so laidback and relaxed and the people were so friendly. One of the coolest things I did was go to an AFL footy game, the Australian version of football. And let me tell you, that is one manly sport, it was awesome! Australia in itself was a different world to me. I would do anything to go back. "

Swinburne University of Technology

Students can spend one or two semesters at Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne Australia.  Students can study a range of subjects across all academic disciplines alongside Australian students or other International exchange students.

Location

Melbourne is one of the world's most livable cities and the second largest city in Australia.  It is in the State of Victoria in southeastern Australia.  The majority of Swinburne’s international students study at our Hawthorn, Lilydale and Prahran campuses in Victoria, Australia.
