Clinical Education Services

The Department of Clinical Education Services administers and coordinates all fieldwork experiences for teaching credentials and their related master's degree programs.

Clinical Education ensures that the content, professional standards, pedagogical knowledge, skills, and dispositions are applied in appropriate and diverse school settings.  Students gain practical experience under the supervision of experienced professionals in the field.  Students are given opportunities which offer them a multitude of experiences at various grade levels and with diverse student populations.

Who do we serve?
The Department of Clinical Education serves all candidates in traditional student teaching assignments, intern teachers, Teach for America, PLACE Corps, and CAST Programs.

What are our levels of support?
We offer a triangle of services including LMU Fieldwork Coordinators, LMU University Supervisors, and District Support Providers and Mentor Teachers.

How do we assist you in fulfilling your fieldwork/student teaching requirements?
Through careful review of your background and needs, we match you up with appropriate district support, facilitate support seminars, and regularly visit you at your school site.
