Third Party Recruiters

Definition of Third Party Recruiters:

Third party recruiters are agencies, organizations, or individuals recruiting candidates for temporary, part-time, or full-time employment opportunities other than for their own needs. This definition includes, but is not limited to, Employment Agencies, Search Firms, Contract Recruiters, On-line Job Posting or Resume Referral Services, Temporary Agencies, Staffing Services, Outsourcing Contractors, Leasing Agencies, or any organization that charges applicants, or employers, for its services.

Job Listings:

The posting of jobs by third party recruiters on behalf of an employer is prohibited via Lionjobs.

However, Third party recruiters can post internal job listings via Lionjobs where the candidate – agency relationship is one of direct employment and that the candidate is not being outsourced to a third party. Third party recruiters must identify themselves as third party recruiters to candidates at the time of initial inquiry and at the time of contact with candidates. Listings must identify the agency and grant access to all job information.

Career Events:

The presence of third party recruiters at Career and Internship Fairs on the Loyola Marymount University Campus is prohibited.

Third party recruiters may not participate in On Campus Interviewing (OCI), Information Sessions, Information Tables, or other career related activities sponsored by Career Development Services.

Criteria for Consideration:

The nature and activities of the agency support the mission of Loyola Marymount University, the Division of Student Affairs, and Career Development Services.

The agency’s recruiting practices and those of its representatives, are ethical in compliance with all campus policies and procedures and adhere to all local, state and federal laws and regulations. Failure to comply may result in revocation of current and future recruiting privileges and/or immediate removal from campus.

The agency agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Loyola Marymount University, Career Development Services, its employees, administrators and representatives from any and all claims, losses, damages, liabilities and expenses, whatsoever, whether direct or indirect, resulting from the denial of recruiting activities.
