Student Employment Resources

Each year, LMU employs over 2600 students through the Student Employment Program in part-time jobs on campus. It is the goal of Student Employment Services to support faculty and staff supervisors as vital partners in the employment experience of LMU students.

Research shows that employment is an important factor in student retention. Students who work are more likely to complete a degree and those who work moderate hours (10-20 hours/week) learn to manage their time better which can lead to improved academic performance.

Your role as a supervisor is critical to the management and development of one of our community’s most important resources: our student work force.

All student employment forms and resources that you and your student will need may be found on Manegate under the Manager’s Tool Kit in the HR tab.
