The 21 ^st century work force is more competitive than ever; college graduates need to demonstrate transferable skills and leadership abilities that enable them to contribute to a dynamic, global work environment. Employers expect recent graduates to present relevant practical work experiences gained through internships, work-study programs and part or full-time jobs.

Career Development Services (CDS) aligns the preparedness of our students with the workforce needs of our employers; positioning LMU graduates as the employers’ candidates of choice. To do so, CDS must remain innovative and entrepreneurial in order to empower LMU students and graduates to employ their passion, talents and values to respond to the challenges and opportunities of both the present and the future. Our vision includes: innovative program development, practical work experiences focusing on internships and experiential education opportunities and a physical and technological environment of excellence.
