Services for Graduate Students and Alumni

All services, events and resources provided by LMU’s Career Development Services office are open to students and alumni/ae of LMU’s graduate programs. Members of LMU’s graduate community are encouraged to consult all areas of the CDS website to gain an in-depth understanding of these services. Services and events of particular interest to Graduate Students pursuing both academic and non-academic careers include:

Placement Files

CDS maintains placement files for those interested in applying to graduate school or entering an academic career. Contact CDS to learn how to open and utilize your own Placement File.

Reciprocal Services Nationwide

Through CDS, LMU students and graduates may request reciprocal career services from other Jesuit and like-sized colleges and universities. Contact CDS to initiate the request and learn more. This service is especially helpful to those considering relocation outside the Greater Los Angeles region.

Graduate School Fair

Held annually in the fall, this event brings representatives from various graduate schools in medicine, law, veterinary, and business to the LMU Campus. Students and alumni considering graduate school as an option, may get answers to questions about the application process, admissions criteria, financial aid options and academic program content.

Education and Non-Profit Career Fair

Each spring, school districts and non-profit organizations are invited to campus to answer questions and provide information about their respective organizations and to recruit LMU students for employment and internship opportunities. This event is a great opportunity for students to obtain contact information and develop networking skills.
