FAQ's
Q: My parents will be attending the Parent Orientation. How do I pay the parent fee?
A: You can pay the parent fee ahead of time by sending a check with the RSVP card you received in the mail, or your parents can pay when they arrive on campus. There is no way to pay the fee online.
Q: Do I need to bring towels for my stay in the residence hall?
A: No! We will provide basic towels and bed linens for you while you are on campus. If you have a favorite pillow or would like an extra blanket, you can bring your own, but it is not necessary.
Q: How do I get to campus from LAX (Los Angeles International Airport)?
A: Because of our close proximity to the airport (we are approximately 3 miles away), we recommend that you take a taxi to the campus. $20 will be enough to get you here.
Q: Will I be fed?
A: Yes! The Orientation program provides a continental breakfast, lunch and dinner on Day 1 of the program. There is also a continental breakfast provided on Day 2. Please bring money for lunch on Day 2. Pete's Arena (the pizza place adjacent to the residence hall where you'll be staying) will also be open for late-night snacks at the end of Day 1.
Q: Will I be at an advantage in the registration process if I come to one of the earlier sessions?
A: No - we reserve a certain number of spaces in classes that freshmen are likely to take for each session; so which session you attend should not affect your registration.
