Study Abroad Non-LMU Programs
STUDY ABROAD NON-LMU PROGRAMS
The following is a list of recommended and approved study abroad programs from which LMU students may choose. We encourage students to consider first and foremost those programs offered by LMU (you may check the Study Abroad website for these programs). Any student who wishes to attend a program that is not currently on this approved list must submit a written request by e-mail to: agandara@lmu.edu.
Non-LMU study abroad programs that transfer for credit must be offered by a regionally accredited academic institution in the U.S. Foreign programs are transferable if offered by an academic institution that is authorized by the Ministry/Department of Education of that country to award nationally-recognized degrees.
All studies taken through a study abroad program must be reported on an official transcript issued by the institution where the studies have been completed. School of record programs (where a U.S. institution reports studies completed at a foreign institution on its own transcript) are not transferable to LMU.
Please note that courses will transfer for credit only. Grades earned in a non-LMU study abroad program are not computed into the grade point average.
Notes:
The process for approval of any program not on the affiliate list takes at least 1-2 semesters, so we advise students to plan well in advance.
Study Abroad Internships do not transfer to LMU.
