Welcoming New Reference Librarian

Over the summer Ken Simon joined the Reference Department staff. Along with his regular reference duties, Ken will also serve as the department’s technology coordinator.

Ken received his Master of Library and Information Science degree from UCLA in June. Prior to his career in academic librarianship, Ken worked in numerous information technology roles in academic and business settings. He has set up and managed student computer labs, designed and delivered computer skills workshops, and managed teams in administering and deploying hardware and software.

Ken’s background also includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from U.C. Santa Cruz, and an ongoing interest in acting in community theater productions.
