Join us at a Loyola Marymount University tradition in Sacramento, a reception in the state Capitol Rotunda basement on February 26th from 5:30-7:00 p.m., to celebrate the 52nd annual Sacramento Seminar.
The Seminar is a three day conference designed to educate college students from several California universities about public service. Students, faculty and California government leaders meet to discuss topics on lobbying, elections, media and legislative and executive leadership.
This year we hope that LMU and Loyola Law School district representatives, Senators Jenny Orapeza and Cedillo, and Assemblymen Fabian Nunez and Curren D. Price also will be able to attend.
Several members of the LMU community will be present including, Dr. William Fitzgerald (founder of the Sacramento Seminar), Robert Welsh, S.J., LMU government relations and alumni staff, and staff of the Thomas and Dorothy Leavey Center for the Study of Los Angeles will also attend.
Please r.s.v.p. to Mark Waier, LMU Federal and State Government Relations associate, at mwaier@lmu.edu or by calling 310-258-4618 by Wednesday, February 21st . Please feel free to contact me if you have questions about this event. We look forward to seeing you there!
