The Federal Government offers the Pell and SEOG grants to students who meet their eligibility requirements.

State Grants

Cal Grant Programs

The State of California offers state grants to students who are California residents. These state grants are based on academic and financial need requirements. The 2006-2007 Cal Grant A awarded to eligible students was $9,708. The deadline to apply for a Cal Grant is March 2, 2007. By March 2, 2007 you must complete your 2007-2008 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and have your high school grade point average sent to the California Student Aid Commission. California Chafee Grant Program

The California Chafee Grant Program gives money to foster youth, and former foster youth to use for career and technical training or college courses. You do not have to pay this money back as long as you are in school and you can use it for things like child care, transportation and rent. The Chafee Grant Program, also known as the Education and Training Voucher (ETV), is a federally funded program and is subject to the availability of federal funds each year. LMU Scholarships & Grants

LMU Grants are awarded to students who qualify. Over 1,000 students will receive LMU Grants from $1,000 to $20,000 based on their scholastic and financial eligibility. LMU's Financial Aid Office administers the scholarships listed in the Undergraduate Bulletin and no separate applications are required in order to be considered unless specifically requested.
