Services for Alumni
Welcome back to the Charles Von der Ahe Library! We hope that you visit us often. As an alumnus of Loyola Marymount University or the Loyola Law School, you are entitled to:
- An annual visitor card to the library and assistance from the reference librarians
- Borrowing privileges at a $100 discount off of the borrowing fees (available at the Circulation Desk). Please see visitor information for a detailed description of these levels. Waiver of the refundable deposit should you decide to pay the borrower’s fee.
- $100 for level 1 (3 books checked out)
- $200 for level 2 (6 books checked out)
- $300 for level 3 (10 books checked out)
Alumni who join the Friends of the Library at the $100 supporter level receive these special courtesies:
- Invitations to lectures, receptions, and exhibitions
- Library newsletter
- Remote access to EBSCO’s alumni editions of Academic Search Premier and Business Source designed for the post-college professional and containing most of the same magazines, newspapers, and journals found in our regular subscriptions – over 3,600 in all. (Password and logon instructions will be issued to members upon request).
- Mention in the library’s annual report donor honor roll
Our reference librarians have identified a number of freely available Internet scholarly search engines which you may wish to consult.
