Nearly 1,800 alumni, friends, family, faculty and staff gathered for the biggest BBQ thus far on October 1, 2006. The day began with mass in Sacred Heart Chapel. After mass, Robert B. Lawton, S.J. spoke for the opening program of the 53rd Annual Alumni BBQ. During the BBQ there were many activities such as face painting, picture frame art, cotton candy, bouncy houses and a magician for the kids. The adults enjoyed networking, reconnecting with friends, refreshments and, of course, food. The different colleges were represented with their own booths where alumni could gather and learn about the exciting things in store for LMU.
