Han Dai-Yu

Han Dai-Yu received his B.F.A. and his M.F.A. from China National Academy of Art. In 2001–02, Dai-Yu was invited to be an artist-in-residence at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, France as a member of the International Association of Art of UNESCO. He was a visiting scholar and adjunct assistant professor of Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA in 2002, and Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, WA, 2003–06. Previously, he had taught at China National Academy of Art, Shanghai Institute of Design and other schools in China on drawing and painting classes over 10 years. His publications on drawing and painting include Dai-Yu’s Drawing Technique; Dai-Yu’s Painting Technique; Drawings of Virtuosos; and Dai-Yu’s Paintings. These have been published in 1991, 1992, 1998 and 1999 by China National Academy Press and Taipei International Cultural Publishing House. Dai-Yu has exhibited in Paris, France, at Cité Internationale des Arts and Ecole des Hautes en Sciences Sociales, in Shanghai, at Shanghai Art Museum and Museum of Chinese Painting Institute, in Beijing, at China Art Museum, and in Hangzhou, at China National Academy of Art.
