Sexual and Gender Diversity

     Gay Straight Alliance

The purpose of the LMU Gay-Straight Alliance is to provide safe social, emotional, and educational support for the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, questioning (GLBTQ), and ally populations on campus and in the surrounding communities. The Gay-Straight Alliance also acts as an educational student organization to provide greater awareness of the issues that concern the members themselves, the university, and the surrounding communities.

GSA meets every Wednesday night at 10:00 PM in St. Rob's 253. Everyone is welcome. No assumptions are made regarding any participant’s sexuality. Meetings usually begin with introductions and a review of upcoming social events and activism projects.

         The Circle

“ A small supportive and confidential meeting of LMU students sharing and discussing issues related to sexual diversity and college life”.

The circle is a safe, relaxed time and space for LMU under graduate and graduate students, emphasizing support for those who are questioning their sexual orientation, who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and their allies. The Circle welcomes diverse racial ethnic, religious, political, and cultural values reflective of the diversity inherent in the LMU community. The Circle is facilitated by Dr Jeff Schnell and meets Tuesdays at 5:30pm. Interested students can contact Dr. Schnell at X82868 or email TheCircle@lmu.edu for meeting location.
