"Much Ado About Nothing" at the Cerritos Library
Alumni gathered at the
beautiful Cerritos Library for an afternoon performance by the East LA Classic
Theatre of “Much Ado About Nothing.” LMU Alumnus Tony Plana ’75,
an accomplished actor, director,
producer and the co-founder and executive artistic director of East L.A. Classic
Theatre, warmly welcomed fellow
alumni to experience this contemporary adaptation of classical Shakespeare.
Everyone enjoyed this high energy, family friendly performance, especially seeing
Alumnus Roberto Alcaraz ‘91 star in the roll of Claudio. Two young ladies from
the audience were also a big hit as they were invited to take part in the
performance as deputies (see photo below). Special thanks to Tony Plana ’75 and
all of the performers of the East LA Classical Theatre, a group
dedicated to the development and professional delivery of educational outreach
programs and classic theatrical productions that authentically reflect the
diversity of American society.
