One of the strengths of the Mechanical Engineering Graduate program is the synergy between this Program and the graduate Systems Engineering Leadership Program (SELP) at LMU. Graduate Mechanical Engineering students can take elective courses from the SELP program, enhancing their understanding of technical program management – a distinct benefit for industry work.
Similarly, the Systems Engineering MS program offers a Technical Focus option whereby students can take Mechanical Engineering courses providing multidisciplinary breadth. The student pursuing this option can take three Electives in Mechanical Engineering graduate program at LMU. The student’s prior education must provide suitable preparation for such studies. This option must be approved by both the Director of Systems Engineering and the Director of the Technical Focus program.
