The faculty of the Department of Art and Art History strives to provide its students with the intellectual, conceptual, and technical skills neded to make informed choices in our rapidly changing world. Studio artists attain competence in formal, technical and conceptual skills, and art historians learn to nurture a love of beauty and articulate a curiosity about the human condition which motivates a search for a deeper understanding of art.
