Los Angeles is an ideal place for internships. Positions are ample, companies vie for the best candidates and some of them are paid. Students have an excellent opportunity to work with practicing artists and professionals as part of their education. The curriculum of each Department provides academic credit for internships, some up to 6 semester hours. While internships are not required in the majors, students are strongly advised to take at least one during their studies.
