Professor Busse teaches courses in Gender, Conflict and Communication, Organizational Communication, and Consulting. During her 30 years at the University, she has assumed administrative assignments as Associate Academic Vice President (89-91) and Dean of the College of Communication and Fine Arts (91-92, and 2002 – present). She has served several departments as Chair/ or Coordinator. She has been named Woman of the Year by California Women in Higher Education, and Teacher of the Year in her college by the students of LMU. She assists with the university’s debate program and with her husband, Professor Jay Busse, sponsored the LMU forensic and Debate Institute for over 25 years. She has coached two High School debate champion teams for which she was commended in the California State Assembly. She and her husband share five wonderful children, each of whom attended LMU.
