Ron Marasco
Ron Marasco, Ph.D., is Professor of Theatre Arts. He did his undergraduate work at Fordham University at Lincoln Center, and got his Masters and Ph.D. from UCLA. As an actor, he has appeared on The X-Files, Angel, Family Law, Judging Amy, Star Trek: Enterprise, Freaks and Geeks and West Wing. He appears in a movie in which he plays a lead role opposite the legendary Kirk Douglas. As an actor he has won a Drama-logue Award and the National Irene Ryan Award at the Kennedy Center and appeared in plays at the Mark Taper Forum and Circle Rep in New York. As an actor and director, his production of his and Theresia deVroom's adaptation of the medieval play, Lancelot, toured Italy and England. Together they have published articles in the journals European Medieval Drama and Aspects of Medieval Drama. As a director, he won the LA Weekly Award for Best Director, and his production of Modigliani won for Best Revival. At LMU, he has directed many shows including The Elephant Man, Julius Caesar, The Man Who Came to Dinner, What the Butler Saw, Twelfth Night, The Fifth of July, and Hamlet. He has completed a book on acting.
