Facilities

The Theatre Arts Program is located in the Foley buiding, which houses two dedicated theatres and two performance classrooms. It is the principal center of the Theatre program where the theatre faculty offices, the costume shop, and the student design and computer labs are also found.

Strub Theatre is the mainstage playhouse in Foley building. The theatre is a modern proscenium arch style playhouse with a capacity of about 180. Two or three mainstage productions and two dance concerts are performed in Strub Theatre every year.

The Virginia Barnelle Theatre is a sixty-seat black box used for experimental, edgy work that requires a more intimate setting. The tiered seating surrounds the performance space on three sides. Several shows are performed in the Barnelle every term. The space accommodates student and faculty-directed work and the annual New Works Festival.
