Students pursue theatre arts for many reasons. You may want to train for a variety of careers – in theatre, law, public relations, teaching, arts management and promotion, to name a few. Or, you may be interested in developing practical communication and leadership skills and applying them in a humanistic context.

At LMU, you’ll find strong comprehensive course work and training for all theatre students. Our specific training programs in acting, directing, design, theatre technology, playwriting, history and criticism are oriented toward a theatre career. Our small classes allow for close working relationships with the faculty. You’ll also have opportunities to pursue individual research and creative projects.
