Over 100 alumni from the School of Film and Television (SFTV) assembled Sunday afternoon, March 26, 2006, for an intimate screening of American Gun. The first feature film co-written and directed by Aric Avelino '99 and produced by Ted Kroeber '99. American Gun is a powerful series of interwoven stories that bring to light how the proliferation of guns in America dramatically affect and shape the every day lives of its citizens. One of the film's actors, Arlen Escarpeta, joined the filmmakers for a Q & A session after the screening. The evening rounded out with a reception on the SFTV television soundstage. American Gun opened in the theaters to a limited release in New York and Los Angeles in March and has continued to be released in other US cities.
