The California Administrative Services Credential is divided into two tiers: a Preliminary Administrative Services Credential (Tier I) and a Professional Administrative Services Credential (Tier II).
LMU's Preliminary Tier I Administrative Services Credential program is specifically designed to prepare candidates for administration positions in public, private, charter, and Catholic schools. The Tier I curriculum may be taken as a stand-alone program (requiring 16 units), or concurrently with our MA in School Administration or MA in Catholic School Administration programs. In addition, the coursework for LMU's Certificate in Special Education Leadership is embedded in the Tier I curriculum. All Tier I candidates must successfully complete fieldwork requirements, and participate in culminating presentations, as evidence of learning and growth. A Tier I Administrative Services Internship is available in collaboration with local school districts.
