ATHLETICS & RECREATION

In addition to LMU's athletics program, Campus Recreation promotes the education of the whole person by providing the LMU community with programs and services that develop an understanding of physical activity and exercise. We encourage a healthy lifestyle and lifelong interest in recreational activities.

The Burns Recreation Center offers personal training, swim lessons and more.

ACTIVITIES & SERVICE

There are over 140 active clubs and organizations and a Greek community with 15 local chapters. Our students volunteer more than 175,000 service hours a year with 350 community organizations.

Open Mic Night at The Living Room brings out the best talent on campus.

HEALTH & WELLNESS

The Student Health Center and Student Psychological Services are open to current students in an effort to make life on campus a safe and healthy experience. In addition to these services, the Fitwell Center offers nutritional guidance and personal fitness assessment.

Whether you're looking for an on-campus job as a student or need advice preparing for your career after graduation, Career Development Services is designed to help you succeed.

Career Development Services offers career counseling by appointment or drop-in.

Housing

Traditional Halls, Suites, Apartments and Theme and Living Learning Communities are home to the many students who live on campus. For those who chose to live off campus, The Off-Campus Student Life office helps students stay connected to campus life.

More than 3,200 students live in 19 residence halls and apartments on campus.

Preventing and Reporting Mold and Mildew

Here are some of the steps Facilities Management takes to address mold and mildew issues:

Cleans and sanitizes affected areas.
If necessary, repaints affected areas.

Here are some things you can do:

Do not leave food out in your room.
Hang up any damp/wet clothing in your room.
Open your drapes during some part of the day.
Ventilate your room at least part of every day.

Open your window during the warmer part of the day, or
Open your room door while you are home and run a fan to circulate the air into the hallway.

As soon as you see any mold or mildew, submit a work order and report it to your Resident Advisor or Resident Director.
While some molds can be benign and nothing more than an eyesore, others can cause serious health concerns. Untreated mold can grow very quickly. It is important that you report mold growth right away.
