Diamond in the Rough Distinguished Entrepreneurial Fellow Award
Through a wonderful grant from the Coleman Foundation (Fannie May Candies) this award is being created to help identify, encourage, support, mentor, hone, polish and develop young entrepreneurs in their early years so that they fulfill their potential and destiny, and become the outstanding young undergraduate collegiate entrepreneurs at LMU, from any major or school, probably in their Freshman or Sophomore year, who have powerful potential to achieve great entrepreneurial success if they are helped and mentored along the way. The award program will include a competitive application process, requiring applicants to convince the judges why they want this award, and need it to have their full impact in the future, and deserve it. One major component of judging will be the applicant's awareness of, and involvement in social impact activities that have a positive impact on society, and improve the social impact of business and entrepreneurship. The recipient of this award will be expected to get deeply involved in a number of entrepreneurial training, leadership, and mentor opportunities available through the LMU Entrepreneurship Program. The recipient will also receive a fellowship award of $5000.00 spread over the period of their involvement in this award program.
