SOE's graduates frequently choose to teach in culturally diverse and underserved areas. This reflects both our mission and the nature of the greater Los Angeles area.
LMU is proud to be a part of two partnerships that focus specifically on preparing teachers while at the same time meeting the immediate needs of our local community: the PLACE Corps, which focuses on under-resourced Catholic school communities, and Teach for America, a federal program that focuses on urban settings. Both programs draw in passionate candidates who have completed their bachelor's degrees, are committed to serving the community, and are looking to gain professional preparation at LMU while teaching.
