International House of People

IHOP Residents 2007-2008 

Beginning with the Fall 2000 school year, OISS was provided with one of the LMU houses on Loyola Blvd. for International Housing and Programming.  The mission of IHOP is to promote and celebrate cultural diversity and awareness within the LMU community.  Throughout the year, the house hosts various events and activities geared towards celebrating different cultures and regions of the world.  Since programming these events will be an important part of living in the house, the residents MUST be willing to help in the planning and hosting of activities and events.  There will be two or three programs a semester.  The house consists of seven undergraduate students, international or domestic, with an interest in internationalizing the LMU community.

Requirements:

• Full-time enrollment as a degree seeking undergraduate student at LMU
• Maintenance of a 2.0 semester grade point average and cumulative grade point average of 2.5
• No current judicial record
• Agreement with all University Housing policies
• Willingness to help plan activities and events
• Interest in international issues and living with people from a variety of countries and cultures
• Completed Application, Essay and Interview– you will be contacted to set up an interview once you turn in the application


House Description (8000 Loyola Blvd):

• 7 undergraduate students (co-ed)
• 3 shared bedrooms and one single room
• 2 bathrooms, 2 living areas, kitchen, patio, back and front yards
• Part of neighborhood of Westchester (requires awareness of and respect for the community)
