Capital Campaign
Loyola Marymount University’s Capital Campaign is based on the
Strategic Plan for the University. This Plan takes as its premise the conviction that Loyola Marymount is positioned to become the preeminent Catholic university in the western United States.
This bold statement is informed and supported by numerous factors, including the University’s stated mission, a careful evaluation of the University’s current environment and future opportunities, a comprehensive survey of the University’s financial health and resources, and the expectations and challenges expressed by University President Rev. Robert B. Lawton, S.J.
To reach its ambitious goals, the University will build upon its close-knit community, a vibrant intellectual and creative climate, a diverse faculty, staff, and student population, a history of undergraduate and graduate education centered on care of the whole person, a continuing engagement with Southern California’s cultural and economic development, and an ongoing dedication to Catholicism rooted in the traditions of its Jesuit and Marymount founding orders.
