Peter Heller

Prior to joining SFTV, Mr. Heller headed the production company and management firm Heller Highwater. He produced Like Mike for Twentieth Century Fox starring Bow Wow and Morris Chestnut. He also produced Brown Sugar for Fox Searchlight starring Taye Diggs, Sanaa Lathan, Queen Latifah and Mos Def. Mr. Heller’s other productions include Bones, Caught Up, Hotel De Love and Dreamland starring Agnes Bruckner and John Corbett.

His management clients included Danny Rubin (“Ground Hog Day”), Stu Krieger (Land Before Time), Christian McLaughlin (Clueless), Ed Kaplan (Dear God), Frank Barhydt (Short Cuts) and Brandon Sonnier, whose film, “The Beat,” made him the youngest director to ever have a film premiere at Sundance.

Before becoming an independent producer/manager, Mr. Heller was President of Propaganda Films where he managed the acquisition, development and production of such films as Sleepers, A Thousand Acres and Candyman II. Previous experience includes a stint as President of Hughes Entertainment where he was involved with the production of Home Alone and the development of Beethoven; a position as Director of Development at Universal Pictures; and his first job in Hollywood as Assistant to the Chairman of the Motion Picture Group at Universal, Tom Pollock.

Mr. Heller graduated Cum Laude from Wesleyan University with a B.A. in literature and received his M.B.A. in marketing from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business, where he was elected to both the Dean’s List and Beta Gamma Sigma.
