Benefits: Retirement Plans
The University offers two regular retirement plan accounts (Loyola Marymount University Defined Contribution Plan) and two supplemental retirement accounts, all with tax deferred/sheltered features. The University contribution to the regular retirement plan (TIAA-CREF Regular Retirement Annuities or Fidelity Investments Accounts) is 9.50% of the participant's regular salary, provided the participant contributes at least 5.0%. Vesting is 100% upon enrollment.
Full-time faculty and staff members are eligible to participate in this program the first of the month following date of hire. Part-time and temporary employees may be eligible to participate in the supplemental retirement accounts. Consult the Benefits staff at ext. 85757.
