Benefits

Welcome! The Benefits staff of the Human Resources department is responsible for administering the employee benefits programs to assist the University in attracting and retaining qualified faculty and staff members. The benefits programs are designed to meet your primary needs by providing protection against certain risks you may face and to help you build a more secure future. Your benefits are an important part of your overall compensation, and an indication of your important role in the LMU community.

The LMU benefits program allows each faculty/staff member to select his/her own personalized package by choosing from a variety of benefits. The University pays a portion of the cost of the faculty/staff member's health care, employee life, accidental death and dismemberment and long term disability plans.

All full-time regular faculty/staff members are eligible to participate. Eligibility commences the first of the month following the individual's employment date. 

The University will pay the full cost for:
  • SINGLE PPO DENTAL VISION COVERAGE FOR FACULTY/STAFF MEMBER, OR PRE-PAID DMO DENTAL/VISION COVERAGE FOR ALL CATEGORIES (SINGLE, DUAL OR FAMILY)
  • UP TO $50,000 IN LIFE INSURANCE FOR FACULTY/STAFF MEMBER
  • UP TO $50,000 IN ACCIDENTAL DEATH & DISMEMBERMENT FOR FACULTY/STAFF MEMBER
  • UP TO 60% LONG TERM DISABILITY FOR FACULTY MEMBER

The University will pay for:

  • THE COST OF SINGLE MEDICAL COVERAGE WITH FACULTY/STAFF MEMBER PAYING A FLAT SEMI-MONTHLY CO-PAY DESIGNATED FOR EACH OF 4 SALARY TIERS
  • A PERCENTAGE OF THE PREMIUM FOR DUAL OR FAMILY MEDICAL COVERAGE DESIGNATED FOR EACH FOR 4 SALARY TIERS
