SHAC

STUDENT HONORS ADVISORY COUNCIL (SHAC)

The purpose of SHAC is threefold: to advise the University Honors Program Director, Program Supervisor, and Honors Advisory Council (HAC) on Honors student issues; to assist in the planning and execution of select Honors academic events, socials, promotion, mentor programs, service projects, etc.; and to promote community and foster peer-support amongst University Honors Program students.

SHAC's motto: Scholarship, Leadership, Stewardship represents the goals of the UHP and its students.

Every Honors student is automatically a part of SHAC. How active a member depends upon each student’s personal choice. Each semester, SHAC will convene for open forums with the Honors Administrators to discuss the semester’s calendar, events, deadlines, projects, goals, etc. This meeting will serve as the time to volunteer for ad hoc committees with individual assignments.

Below you will find the SHAC Committees and their descriptions.  If you are interested in being added to a committee, please send your request to honors@lmu.edu or contact the Committee Chair.
