As president of Loyola Marymount University, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our online gateway to the institution.

With one window on dynamic Los Angeles and another on the Pacific Ocean, Loyola Marymount University is one of 28 Jesuit universities in the United States and one of five Marymount institutions of higher education. The names "Loyola" and "Marymount" have long been associated with Catholic higher education around the globe.

Founded in 1911, Loyola Marymount attracts undergraduate, graduate, and professional students who seek an ethnically diverse university dedicated to the highest academic standards, the education of the whole person, and faith-inspired concern for justice. Our new strategic plan
seeks to advance this vision in the 21st century.

For the 5,000 undergraduates and 3,000 graduate students at Loyola Marymount and Loyola Law School, Los Angeles is a laboratory for understanding the nation and the world through the complexity of cultures, industries, images, and opportunities embraced by Southern California. The glory of God as reflected in the fully human is our highest aim.

I invite you to explore our extensive Web presence, including iLMU (an interactive experience).  I also encourage you to visit our beautiful campuses in-person in west Los Angeles (university campus) and downtown (law school campus).
